Eve is based on a true story. Spinning trauma into fine art, Eve weaves a compelling personal tale of exploitation and liberation. The evocative performance showcases modern dance and aerial, with a rich multi-genre musical score composed by mother and son, performed by top Bay Area instrumentalists and vocalists. This contemporary opera provides a model for disrupting generational cycles of violence during a time of unprecedented need for healing.
The grassroots performance blossomed from a backyard show in Bolinas, CA to a full house at The Palace of Fine Arts Theatre in San Francisco in 2022. This ambitious effort was only made possible by the heartfelt support of our greater community. Eve performances take place this year during Winter Solstice, December 20, 21, and 22, at ODC Theater - a vibrant space seated in community development that feels aligned with our mission.
